Duties & Responsibilities:

Products from over 200 suppliers and over 20,000 SKU's are managed and distributed through a network of 28 stocking branches. Report to the Director Supply Chain.


Analyze customer demand and forecasts. Determine appropriate inventory parameters (safety stocks, reorder points, order quantities, etc.) for each item at each location in order to achieve company goals for customer fill rate and inventory turnover.(Min/Max 80/20)
Provide ad hoc reporting to support improved understanding of inventory and service performance and to identify and analyze performance improvement opportunities.
Build and present inventory planning recommendations to senior staff. Defend proposals including rationale, cost and service implications, and risk assessment. Manage implementation of initiatives including communication and coordination with related departments.
Evaluate and recommend action on sales requests for inventory exceptions. Monitor exception stocking results and take appropriate actions to improve performance.
Manage inventory planning tools. Develop and implement system improvements including planning methodologies and formulas.
Minimize slow moving, aging, and obsolete inventory.
Work closely with Purchasing, Operations and Sales to ensure timely and effective execution of inventory plans.
